Student Reflections - Animation #14

C. P.
9th grade
Animation

The class was about animation where you learn about photographing drawings or positions of puppet and models to create an illusion of movement. I learned how many seconds per frame is used in a stop motion video. I also learned how to do a thaumatrope and i worked on run and walk cycle. I enjoyed working with others and learning new things about them like what kind of anime they watched. One of the person i enjoyed working with was Jasmine on the stop motion video.

My favorite project was doing the thaumatrope because i really enjoyed my end result. The project was fun to do, and I loved seeing everyone else’s. I think this idea was an awesome idea and great for a project. I believe everyone learned something from this project and i’m positive that everyone enjoyed it. I think I would’ve really enjoyed making a second one.

It’s my worst project because i didn’t finish it. It was done awfully because i didn’t try my hardest on it. I also didn’t like it because i’m not good at typing and it’s to much typing. I think i could’ve done better if i was to be writing it on paper. I really enjoyed being in this class and hope to be in this class next year!

In conclusion, I believe that this class was great and a nice experience. I loved all the new people I met, and i’m grateful for all that I learned. I enjoyed learning about the different types of animations, and about how to animate someone walking. I think people would enjoy this class if they tried it out, it’s really a great class and everyone kind of becomes family. I do have one thing to say and that’s that this class requires a lot of hard work.
